Getting Started: Open WinSCP
Please note that according to security reasons, we longer use WSFTP, but WinSCP.
Click on Start
Select Program
Select WinSCP3
Select WinSCP to Open the application
Step 1: Sign On
The Host Name is "cunix.columbia.edu"
Enter your User ID (User ID is your cunix ID)
If your e-mail is: ab123@columbia.edu
then your cunix ID will be ab123
Enter your Password:
Your password is your e-mail's password
Click OK, after finished entering your information
Step 2: Upload File
Select the File you want to upload to the server
(Tip: Make sure you know where your file/document locate in the computer)
Click on Copy or Move.
Step 3: Uploading Confirmation
After you have clicked on "copy" or "move", another diaologue box will jump out:
Click on "copy" or "move" again to confirm your action.
If you don't want to upload, just click on "cancel".
Step 4: Finished Uploading & Download File
Congratulations! You have Upload the File sucessfully, You will now see "my folder" in the Remote Site!
If you want to download the File:
Select your file
Click on Copy or Move
